A unique collection of written, visual, audio and video stories from creators from all corners of Africa, as a record of the COVID19 experience in Africa.
COVID HQ Africa was created by The Mastercard Foundation in partnership with the Zain Verjee Group, NAMU Communications, and The Africa CDC, to provide an easily accessible destination for stories and information about COVID19 on the continent of Africa.
We have gathered a unique collection of written, visual, audio and video stories from creators across the continent as a record of the COVID19 experience in Africa. The stories on the site are from all corners of Africa, giving the reader a view of how the people of the continent have faced the pandemic—their trials, tribulations and triumphs in the wake of a global event that has permanently impacted lives and situations.
COVID HQ Africa also provides continuously updated information on COVID-19 data via the Tracker. This is a source of the best data collected and analyzed on all cases, deaths, infections, and more that should help the people on the continent understand the scale of the pandemic in Africa. This data is sourced primarily from the World Health Organization and the Africa CDC.
